With 3,000 Highgate residents reading compelling content every issue, the Highgate Broadsheet offers affordable, highly targeted advertising and promotional opportunities for retailers and local services that want to be seen by their immediate community. Ten issues of the Broadsheet are published per year, each with a minimum print run of 3,000 copies. Distributed from the heart of Highgate Village, the paper reaches an engaged and active local community. Every paid advertisement automatically enters our prize draw. Winners are notified in the next edition of the paper and announced on Instagram - giving your business anotherboost to our online community.

Advertising Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all advertisement bookings with The Highgate Village Broadsheet. By booking an advertisement you agree to the terms below.
1. Bookings & payment. Advertisementisementbookings are confirmed by email. Payment is due within5 days of invoice. Rates are as shown on the current ratecard and may change between issues. Where payment isnot received within terms, we reserve the right to requirepayment in advance for future bookings.
2. Artwork & deadlines. Advertisementisers mustsupply print-ready artwork by the copy deadline givenfor each issue. We cannot guarantee publication ofartwork received after the deadline and are not liable foradvertisementisements held over or omitted as a result.
3. Design service. If you don’t have print-ready artwork,we can design your advertisementisement for you for afee. Please request this at least 3 working days beforethe copy deadline to allow time for a proof.
4. Artwork specifications. Artwork supplied by theadvertisementiser must meet the specifications in theArtwork Guide (below). We are not responsible forlegibility, print quality or content issues arising fromartwork that does not meet these specifications, thoughwe will flag any issues we notice where possible beforegoing to print.
5. Right to refuse. We reserve the right to refuse, amendor withdraw any advertisementisement at our discretion,including content we consider inaccurate, inappropriate,or inconsistent with the publication’s values.
6. Cancellations. Cancellations must be received beforethe copy deadline for the relevant issue. Bookingscancelled after the deadline remain payable in full.
7. Positioning. We will make reasonable efforts toaccommodate positioning requests but cannot guaranteea specific position unless a premium/guaranteedplacement has been agreed in advance and confirmedby email.
8. Liability & errors. We take reasonable care inreproducing advertisementadvertisementts but are notliable for minor reproduction errors. Where we are atfault, liability is limited to the cost of the advertisement;we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
9. Copyright & warranty. Advertisementisers warrantthat they own or are licensed to use all material supplied,and agree to indemnify us against any claim arising fromthat material.
10. Data. Advertiser contact and payment details are used only for administering the booking and are handled in line with data protection law.
11. Prize draw. Paid advertisers are automatically entered into our prize draw for that issue - see below.
12. Changes. We may update these terms from time totime; the current version is available on request.
Prize Draw Terms
1. Each issue, every business placing a paid advertisement in that issue receives one entry, regardless of advertisement size or number. No purchase is necessary - anyone may enter free by emailing hello@highgatehq.co.uk with their name and contact detailsbefore that issue’s advertisementising deadline, on thesame basis as paid advertisementisers.
2. The prize is donated by a local business, to be usedwithin a set period of the draw, subject to their ownavailability and booking conditions. No cash alternative;not transferable to another offering.
3. The draw takes place shortly after each issue publication, from all entries for that issue. Draws are conducted at random and the result is final.
4. The winner is notified by email/phone andannounced on Instagram as well as in the nextedition or the Broadsheet (unless asked not to be). Ifunclaimed within 14 days, we may redraw. This is a freeprize draw run in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005and is not gambling.
Artwork Guide
File formats: PDF (preferred), JPG or PNG.
Resolution: 300dpi minimum- anything lower can lookblurred or pixellated once printed.
Colour: CMYK where possible; RGB files will beconverted automatically, which can shift colours slightly.
Bleed & margins: Keep essential text and logos at least5mm from the edge of your ad space. If your design runsto the edge, add 3mm bleed.
File naming: Business name + issue, e.g.“SmithsBakery_Sept2026.pdf”. Keep files under 10MB.
Deadline: Artwork must be submitted by the copydeadline stated in each previous issue.
Text Size: Minimum text size: 8pt for body copy, 14pt+ for abusiness name or headline.
No Artwork? No problem!
We can format your advertisement for you for the following fees:
Small ads (up to £36, e.g. the 53×105mm / 108×50mmslots): £10
Medium ads (£54–£120, e.g. banners, half-strips): £20
Large ads (£144 and up, e.g. the 1/4 page): £35
Send us your logo, key text and any images, at least 3 working days before the copy deadline and we’ll lay it out to fit your booked ad size (see “Design service” in theTerms & Conditions above).
